“This Is A Day of New Beginnings”   Wren/Young
This is a day of new beginning, time to remember and move on,
Time to believe what love is bringing, laying to rest the pain that’s gone.
In faith we’ll gather in this moment, to show and share what love can do.
This is a day of new beginnings; our God is making all things new!

Benediction Prayer

“May The Road Rise To Meet You”

Choral Blessing       Family and Friends

May the Road Rise to meet you,
May the wind blow at your back,
May the sun shine warmly on your face.
May the rain fall softly on your field,
And until we meet again, until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Amen!

Wedding Vows

Dr. Kea:  It is time!  In this day of music and celebration, we stand together in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining of Tommy and Beverly in Christian marriage.  The covenant of marriage was established by God; and Jesus, in his sacrificial love, gave us the supreme example for the love of husband and wife. Tommy and Beverly have declared their intent to give themselves to one another in such a holy covenant, and come today to publicly express their love, and commit their lives to each other before their family and friends.

Tommy:  Beverly, from this day forward I promise to love you completely, to honor you and cherish you for the rest of my life.  I will be faithful to you and nurture you with all that I am and all that I have.  I will embrace your dreams and your hopes.  I promise to respect you, your thoughts and your actions, and to defend you against all that might harm you.  I will lend you my strength and my counsel, and will not withhold myself from you.  I ask you to be my partner in all things, to share your days and nights with me, to lend me your strength and your dreams and to make my home your home.  Will you take me as your husband?

Beverly:  Tommy, with joy I accept you as my husband to spend all the seasons of my life.

Tommy:  Then I offer you this ring as a symbol of my commitment to you. I ask you to wear it always as a sign that you hold me above all others as your life’s mate.

Beverly: Tommy, from this day forward I promise to love you completely, to honor and cherish you for the rest of my life.  I will be faithful to you and nurture you with all that I am and all that I have.  I will embrace your dreams and your hopes.  I promise to respect you, your thoughts and your actions and to defend you against all that might harm you.  I will lend you my strength and my counsel, and will not withhold myself from you.  I ask you to be my partner in all things, to share your days and nights with me, to lend me your strength and your dreams and to make my home your home.  Will you take me as your wife?

Tommy:  Beverly, with joy I accept you as my wife to spend all the seasons of my life.

Beverly:  Then I offer you this ring as a symbol of my commitment to you. I ask you to wear it always as a sign that you hold me above all others as your life’s mate.

Dr. Kea:  Initially, March was the first month of the year because it was the first month in which signs of new growth were visible after the ravages of winter.  Today, Tommy and Beverly begin their own new spring together as a married couple.  Their marriage also unites their families and friends, and they ask for your blessing.  Will all of you rejoice in their union, and by God’s grace, uphold Tommy and Beverly in the coming days?

Family and Friends: We will!

Tommy and Beverly:  With Spring comes rebirth, and we honor always the ever-renewing force of life that is the source of our love.
